MSF High IRC
The webcomic MSF High has a forum game, found here, which itself spawned several IRC channels with a separate continuity, where things often go in a completely different direction than on the forum itself.
This is the page for both the main IRC 'continuity' as well as for other IRC-based games such as the Legion RP.
Tropes used in MSF High IRC include:
- Alternate Continuity: Certain notable examples: Jax (now known as Ash) has the memory of his old life back, Robin is a Legion, Karn is actually a nice guy, and don't get us started on Demona...
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Very frequent on the main 'dormlounge' room, due to the mixture of In Character and Out of Character discussion.
- No Fourth Wall: Sometimes seems that way, with conversation, hugs, and even a few characters travelling back and forth.
- This even lead to a question on, if Legion need nanites to survive, and nanites are magic...how can Emily hop across the fourth wall!
- No Fourth Wall: Sometimes seems that way, with conversation, hugs, and even a few characters travelling back and forth.
- Convicted by Public Opinion: Sephry was convicted by two people of turning Sventnya into brainwashed beegirl, even though there was no hard evidence to prove it. By the time these characters spread the word they had an entire group after her.
- Complete Monster: Liruru, in the Legion RP. Her big score as a pirate? Bombing a warehouse full of food, medical supplies, and Mauve Shirts, to up the price of her own goods.
- Casey's creators are diffently this. Word of God is that the player wanted her parents to be as irredeemably evil as possible.
- Cuddle Bug: Almost everyone is. Seriously there have been borderline cuddle orgies.
- Divine Parentage: Ash, Hilda, and Veronica. Their mothers are Inari, Freya, and Hathor; from Japanese Mythology, Norse Mythology and Egyptian Mythology respectively.
- Emergency Transformation: Many times this has been necessary to save one or multiple characters from the brink of death.
- Even the Guys Want Him / Even the Girls Want Her: Several characters including Ash, Demona, and Conil. They tend to accumulate harems.
- Everything's Worse with Bees: Whether or not this is true for Sephry depends on the character.
- Fetish Fuel Station Attendant: Demona is the epitome if this trope.
- Gender Bender: Happens all the time. In particular, Ash is affected by a variant of Ranma's curse: Ash becomes a man when splashed with cold water, a woman when splashed with hot water, and a Hermaphrodite when splashed with lukewarm water.
- The Glomp: Standard way of greeting people in IRC. Often whether they like it or not.
- Happily Adopted: Casey ended up being adopted by Crystal. Which resulted in...
- Humanity Ensues: Crystal made a organic body for Casey and transferred her mind into after fears of Casey's old folks preprograming her towards evil
- Truly Single Parent: Crystal's DNA was used a base to make, with some modifications to make the new body resemble a human Casey.
- Hive Queen: Legion Queens (including Emily, Ilushia, and Malice), Sephry.
- God Save Us From the Queen: Your Mileage May Vary on this one.
- Hot Chick with a Sword: Sephry, and most of her soldier bee army brandish either one or dual swords, and are all incredibly attractive.
- Also, Legionified Berlioz, who uses three swords.
- See Also, Ash (when female) with Mach-Breaker
- Interspecies Romance: Happens in large amounts.
- Literal Surveillance Bug: During the time when Sephry was outlawed she constantly spied on the rest on the other characters in an bee sized form.
- Overly Long Name: The Reason why Casey is never allowed to name children.
- Powered by a Forsaken Child: Casey's power Core was literally is made from souls of 70+ people. Crystal dealt with it. See Humanity Ensues
- Second Law of Gender Bending: More often then not, when a male character gets turned female they will not turn back, even when the opportunity is always present.
- Technical Pacifist: Danielle is one of these.
- Tenchi Solution: Ash's harem has settled into one of these.
- The Three Faces of Eve / The Hecate Sisters: Three members of Ash's harem sorta fit this: Casey (child/maiden), Danielle (mother/wife), and Destiny (seductress/not really a crone).
