• Hey, It's That Voice!:
  • Streamline's English dub
    • Jigen is Prof. Gakujin and Midvalley the Hornfreak.
    • Lupin is Porky Pig, Masaru, Kai, and Luke Skywalker.
    • Fujiko is Gatomon, Angewomon, Miriya Parina Sterling, and Nova Satori.
  • Geneon's English dub
    • Fujiko is Rukia Kuchiki, Euphemia, Katherine McBride, Chii, Yuki Nagato, Crimson Viper, Arioch, and Yoko Littner.
    • Lupin is Ulquiorra Cifer, Lancer, Rick Hunter, Soujiro, Shinbo, Hibiki Tokai, Harry McDowell, and Tetsuji Kaiji.
    • Jigen is Black Ghost, Batou and Inspector Lunge.

• Missing Episode: Series 2 Episode 3 Hitler's Legacy (AKA To Be Or Nazi Be) was this for a while with the series' US release, as Adult Swim refused to air it for pretty obvious reasons and Geneon withheld it from the Volume 1 DVD. It was eventually added in Volume 5.

  • Geneon's English dub
    • Lupin and Fujiko are Shinbo and Chii, Ranmaru Shindo and Ryoko Ibuki, Harry McDowell and Maria Asagi, Kelvin and Hope Stelar, Jojo and Yayoi, Melan and Moe, Hajiki and Aiko, and Bang Shishigami and Carl Clover.
    • Fujiko and Jigen are Rukia and Mr. Kagine for only in episode 11 of Bleach. They're also Arioch and Salamander.
  • FUNimation's dub
    • Lupin and Fujiko are Krillin and Android 18 respectively.
    • Speaking of couple, Jigen gets into a fight with Fujiko as Vegeta and Android 18 respectively.
  • In Japanese dubs of British comedy, Lupin and Zenigata are Graham Chapman and John Cleese.
• Throw It In:
  • The Funimation dubs of the movies and TV specials feature the American cast having a little fun with the material, not to the point of the Gag Dub of the second TV series but enough to raise them to new heights (heists?) of hilarity. A good example of this is "Crisis In Tokyo" which was one of the last ones the Funimation cast got to work on so they were given more freedom with the dubbing Cristopher Sabat in particular is hilarious as Jigen.
  • The Manga dub of Castle of Cagliostro tends to drift into this terrority too, though not as much as either FUNimation with the TV-specials or Geneon with the TV series. A notable addition might be the PG-13-level profanity in some of the dialogue.
• What Could Have Been: In 1982, TMS and DiC planned to create Lupin VIII, a spin-off series that took place in the distant future and was seemingly going to be targeted to younger audiences. The Leblanc estate, however, killed those plans before the first episode could be broadcast in a complete form. Strangely, the first episode, which still lacks a vocal track, is quietly being circulated on VHS tapes.
  • After Lupin VIII was scrapped, DiC had to come up with something to replace it, ultimately creating Inspector Gadget. TMS even helped animate the first season.
  • The Lupin VIII pilot has been released on the as-of-now Japan-exclusive Lupin III: Master File collector's DVD, with subtitles derived from the pilot's original script.
