LCD Soundsystem/YMMV

• Awesome Music - Most stuff, but Sound Of Silver and This Is Happening stand out.
• Broken Base - Due to a feud with fellow dance-punkers Death From Above 1979 over their name (Murphy's record label is "DFA Records," which stands for Death From Above, the original name of DFA 1979), some people who are fans of LCD Soundsystem have formed a Hate Dumb of DFA 1979, and vice-versa. People who are fans of both bands, along with some who are fans of only one, find the whole thing stupid and wanted (both groups are now disbanded) the two to get over it.
• Ear Worm: If you get songs stuck in your head easily, do NOT listen to the music.
• Epic Riff:
  • The signature slide guitar line in "All I Want" certainly qualifies.
  • The repeated piano line in "All My Friends" does as well.
• Face of the Band - James Murphy.
• Funny Moments: Much of Murphy's lyrics mock the stereotype of the kids that totally listen to his music. The irony is that they normally know they're being criticized, too, but don't care because the music is so damn catchy.
• Hate Dumb - A small but vocal minority of devoted fans of Death From Above 1979 (See entry for "Broken Base").
• Heartwarming Moment: "Home", the closing track of This is Happening.
• Magnum Opus - Sound of Silver
• Misaimed Fandom - Those who only pay attention to the title of "North American Scum" assume it's all self-deprecation or an anti-America song. Turns out it's actually pretty patriotic.
• Moment of Awesome - That Madison Square Garden farewell show definitely fits.
• Tear Jerker: The farewell show performance of "New York, I Love You, But You're Bringing Me Down".
  • "Someone Great". Especially the video.
