Léon: The Professional/Headscratchers
- How did Matilda find a full Marilyn Monroe outfit in Leon's cupboard?
- Maybe it was one of his girlfriend's outfits?
- He says he never had a girlfriend after his first one got murdered.
- He could of kept the wardrobe.
- Serriously? It´s a white dress with a drawn beautymark, she coulda bought that anywhere out of some reason. Maybe as a disguise?
- It seems unlikely the NYPD would just accept the deaths of an entire family without some better excuses.
- Gary Oldman's character seems pretty high up and well-connected.
- He's a senior DEA agent and his team was there in their official capacity, serving a warrant. The crime scene belongs to the DEA. The NYPD isn't even getting invited to look at it without the DEA's cooperation. Even if there was suspicion of wrongdoing the investigation would belong to the DEA's Office of Personnel Responsibility, not the NYPD, as the alleged law enforcement misconduct is that of federal agents. And there isn't any suspicion of wrongdoing because the official story is 'We went into this guy's apartment to pick him up, he went apeshit and started shooting at us, and he fucking killed his own family with stray bullets while we were still trying to figure out how to keep this shitstorm from exploding. Jesus Christ, what a shitty day.'
- This is also why Gary Oldman's character is that desperate to find and kill Matilda; she's the one living witness that can blow his cover story. At which point the OPR does come in with both feet, and he's potentially facing infinity to life in Marion.
