Kirby/Awesome Music
So upbeat and happy it could kill the devil.

So good, it kills you.
Kirby's Dream Land / 2 / 3
- Green Greens, the first stage song, and basically the theme song of the series. Most games in the series have some version of this, such as Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare in Dream Land and Super Star, as well was Ultra, and many songs have this part as a Recurring Riff. And then there's this remix.
- Castle Lololo, the second stage song, while not as famous as Green Greens, has seen a recent surge in usage as Dyna Blade's theme, such as in Air Ride and Super Star Ultra.
- Float Islands, the third stage song, which has been used in Super Star, both in its normal usage and remixed as The Rest Area music, later used in SSBM.
- The original 8-bit version of the King Dedede Theme.
- "Together with the Spring Breeze" from Super Star was taken from the original Kirby's Dream Land (as was everything else about Spring Breeze), and, believe it or not, it sounds pretty much equal in terms of awesomeness, even in tiny 8-bit MIDI synth.
- From Kirby's Dream Land 2, the songs of Big Forest, Coo the Owl and Cloudy Park are some favorites.
- Also, Dark Castle. There's also a remix of it, which is considerably awesome.
- Kirby's Dream Land 2's Boss Theme is impressive, too.
- The battle against Dark Matter's first form (Duel in the Sky) is pretty catchy.
- The ending theme is good on its own, but this remix takes it to a whole new level.
- From Kirby's Dream Land 3, Iceberg and Sand Canyon 1, the latter of which has become something of a music fad.
- Ripple Field is also a great catchy, if not relaxing tune in the same vein as Kirby Super Star's Float Island.
- Another Ripple Field track has a sort of submerged sound to it, perfectly suitable for the underwater level in which it is first heard. It could also give Sand Canyon a run for its money in terms of catchiness.
- The miniboss music is fast-paced and catchy.
- The Credits music may bring a tear to your eye.
Kirby's Adventure / Nightmare in Dream Land
- Grape Gardens
- Butter Building
- Yogurt Yard
- Rainbow Resort
- From the Nightmare in Dreamland, we have a new version of the awesome Fountain of Dreams theme, which is actually a symphonic version of the Gourmet Race song from KSS/KSSU. Although, the Super Smash Bros. Melee original mix is even more epic.
- Since it uses the previous melody in place of the classic Dedede Theme, Nightmare In Dream Land uses that melody in the Boss Tower instead, replacing the mini-boss battle melody used originally in that stage (see 2:47 onwards).
- Forest
- Vegetable Valley and the intro music are both awesome!
- Orange Ocean
- Nightmare's Theme - this version complete with Warp Star intro!
Kirby Super Star / Ultra
- The Super Star version of King Dedede's Theme, which adds in the second part of the famous song.
- Then there's the obligatory Brawl Remix.
- Which is arguably even better when slowed down.
- On the subject of King Dedede themes: the Masked Dedede battle music from Ultra.
- And speaking of Masked Dedede, there's this.
- Then there's the obligatory Brawl Remix.
- Together with the Spring Breeze
- Marshmallow Castle, Cocoa Cave, and Candy Mountain all need more love.
- Candy Mountain is already getting more love, thanks to Memetic Mutation.
- The Great Cave Offensive theme, as well as the second theme, which is likely twice as epic.
- Of course, Gourmet Race.
- And all of its obligatory remixes. "Gourmet Race" is likely one of the most remixed songs on the internet.
- Another fun little remix is the Vocaloid treatment.
- Then all of its official remixes: Dreamland 3, Kirby 64, and Epic Yarn. And that's not even getting into the Super Smash Bros. remixes: Dream Land from the original, Fountain of Dreams from Melee, and the metal version from Brawl. Especially Brawl.
- To put Brawl's "Gourmet Race" metal remix in perspective, the original version uploaded by SilvaGunner had amassed over 1 million views before it and the rest of her massive library of video game music was unfortunately taken down.
- There's even a "Windows sounds" version.
- Let's not forget Gourmet Race Stage 2, also known as "The Second Helping". While not as popular as the other one (and it definitely needs more love), it still manages to be just as amazing.
- And all of its obligatory remixes. "Gourmet Race" is likely one of the most remixed songs on the internet.
- Both Halberd themes (Halberd Warship, Taking Over the Halberd)
- Meta Knight's Theme
- Escape The Halberd. Goes well with a tense chase.
- Revenge of Meta Knight ending theme.
- The epic Marx Battle!
- Made better in Super Star Ultra.
- The epic sweetness of this tiny piece of music that plays during the cutscene after the Marx battle ranks way up there, too (It is followed by the normal "credits" music). That first bendy note that plays right on time with a huge, screen-whiteout (albeit SNES or DS-grade) explosion is just sweet.
- Speaking of which, the credits music. Simply beautiful.
- If you think that's beautiful, check out the Acoustic version.
- This delightfully creepy "Final Four" theme from Ultra's True Arena.
- There's also True Gladiator Kirby, which, like everything else about The True Arena, cranks Gladiator Kirby Up to Eleven.
- Kirby Super Star Ultra in general has some brilliant music, such as the Galacta Knight theme and the Kabula theme.
- Speaking of Galacta Knight, what about this epic remix? makes me want to play it at a rave party and see nobody realize that this is from Kirby.
- That guy's remixes are awesome in general.
- Speaking of Galacta Knight, what about this epic remix? makes me want to play it at a rave party and see nobody realize that this is from Kirby.
- Dynablade's theme and Heavy Lobster's theme. 2 pieces of epic music for 2 epic bosses.
- Great Cave Offensive.
Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards
- O2's boss battle music in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Some prefer the Miracle Matter boss theme music, but Your Mileage May Vary.
- Go see the Brawl version.
- Better yet, listen to the Drum-and-bass-y fan remixed version (really, more awesome than it sounds).
- Try this one on for size.
- Here's another! (well, it's actually a mashup between the old 02 music and the new version, but it doesn't detract from the awesome)
- And of course this version which gets straight to point.
- And for all those fans of Miracle Matter, there is the insanely epic OC Remix.
- Go see the Brawl version.
- Also, Ripple Star. Never before had jazz been so dramatic.
- Made in 8-bit for Rock Man 4 Minus Infinity
- That's actually the Ripple Star Map theme.
- Made in 8-bit for Rock Man 4 Minus Infinity
- And Rock Star.
- And Castle Dedede, a mix of Iceberg and one of the animal buddy room songs from Dream Land 3.
- And the Shiver Star factory.
- It doesn't end there: Ruins.
- Wait! There's more! Down the Mountain Stream.
- Even the minigames have some great tunes, such as the upbeat and fun tune from the fruit picking minigame.
- Room Guarder, which has since seen endless remixes throughout the course of the series.
- And to top it all off, the credits music.
Kirby's Air Ride
- The Kirby's Air Ride soundtrack needs some love! Here's Celestial Valley and Frozen Hillside, the latter of which even got into SSBB without needing a remix.
- Checker Knights got in remix-free, too.
- Also, here's a piano duet. Even better, it's from ninsheetm.us, so you get sheet music too!
- Checker Knights got in remix-free, too.
- And while we're at it, how about Sky Sands?
- The remix of it in Mass Attack manages to make it even better.
- And Machine Passage?
- Magma Flows.
- Nebula Belt.
- Top Ride's Grass level has quite a catchy tune. Now listen to a Eurobeat version of the same song! Initial D + Kirby = MULTI-
TRACKWARP STAR DRIFTING! - City Trial (Backside) sounds cool, right from the start.
- Air Ride is also notable for having many remixes of earlier Kirby tracks. For starters, here's the Target Flight theme, an orchestral version of Super Star's Cocoa Cave.
- Forest Stage, anyone? The fiddley parts just make this troper shiver in happiness every time.
- Station Fire. The build-up of tension, as well as the resulting climax, are great.
- How have we gotten this far without mentioning Legendary Air Ride Machine?
- The Main Menu music, following the tradition set by Super Smash Bros. Melee, is magnificent.
- Dyna Blade's theme, a remix of Castle Lololo, actually originated here. It was later ported to Kirby Super Star Ultra.
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
Kirby: Canvas Curse
- Drawcia Sorceress says hi. There's just something about pipe organs...
- And Drawcia Soul says REEEEE! There's just something about disharmonious crackling and rapid-fire booping!
Kirbys Epic Yarn
- Let's start with the remakes:
- The classics-- Green Greens, Butter Building, Gourmet Race, and Ice-Cream Island.
- Revenge of Meta Knight, and a delightfully piano-heavy rearrangement of Meta Knights's boss theme.
- King Dedede's theme is back, as awesome as ever.
- The Kirby 64 Boss Battle theme was remixed for Yin-Yarn's battle song. And it is awesome. And then it took an invincibility lollipop.
- The Power Up music from the original Dream Land makes a comeback. And it kicks major ass.
- The level select music for Dream Land, which is a remake of the Ripple Star map music from Kirby 64.
- Flower Fields, Fountain Gardens, and Rainbow Falls; all recognizable from the game's various trailers.
- Vs. Fangora
- Vs. Squashini Danny Elfman took over soundtrack duties at Good Feel...
- Vs. Hot Wings And now, Kirby's Riverdance!
- Vs. Kracko is just a simple, seconds-long tune on an infinite loop. It's still good.
- Big Bean Vine
- Cool Cave
- Dusk Dunes is just... that intro. There are no words.
- Tube Town
- Outer Rings
- Lava Landing may make you seriously consider taking piano lessons.
- Melody Town
- Weird Woods
- On the calmer side of awesome, there's the music played in Kirby's Pad. Very soothing and calm, and makes for an excellent lullaby if you have trouble sleeping at night.
Kirby Squeak Squad
- The Squeaks themselves have an outstanding Leitmotif that makes an appearance whenever they show up, with a number of variants depending on the situation.
- Treasure Scuffle, which pops up whenever one of the Squeaks is acting as a miniboss, trying to steal a treasure box from Kirby.
- The appropriately named boss theme, when you face off against Doc's machines, or big boss Daroach, takes their theme and makes it more fitting of a full boss than the sillier Treasure Scuffle.
- Their theme becomes extremely rockin' in its Super Smash Bros Brawl rendition. And it has extremely stiff competion in that game alone.
Kirby Mass Attack
- The Squeaks make a surprise return, in a helpful role. Whenever Kirby boards their airship to ask Daroach for treasure info, there's a calm version of their leitmotif playing, sounding elevator music. It's actually quite relaxing.
- Up for tree to tree? What about Kirby Collecting? Or are you in the mood for Game Over? How about Terrifying Enemy?
- Kirby Quest, a mini game in Mass Attack, has amazing music all around.
- The Title Screen is amazing right from the start. With an intro like this, you know you're in for amazing battle music.
- There's also Action Heaven, a remix of Macho-san (Max Flexer in the dub) theme from Kirby: Right Back at Ya! anime! The music is every bit as awesome as his surprise cameo!
Kirby's Return to Dream Land
- The music from the Kirby GCN trailer is just amazing. It was brought back in this game as the theme for normal bosses in The Arena.
- The otherworldy segments where a purple wall of doom slowly covers the area has a frantic yet intense tune.
- The Challenge Stages are the new Kirby equivalents to Purple Coin challanges, right down to the catchy music. Good luck getting those Platinum Medals...
- And for the Item Challenge, you get a medley of Green Greens tunes for music. This tune is also used when in the two HAL Rooms.
- The game included a few awesome remixes of old tracks:
- King Dedede's Theme
- The Kirby Super Star Boss Theme
- Heavy Lobster
- Grape Garden. Simply beautiful.
- World Select, which made many think of Kirby's Dream Land 3.
- Galacta Knight. It's even more epic that it was used as a Theme Music Power-Up for when he Turns Red.
- The final boss music. That violin is godly.
- The first phase of the final boss is also great, but no violin.
- In contrast to the final boss, the Staff Roll is a very upbeat and calming tune that still manages to sound incredible, especially further on in.
- The normal boss battle music. It doesn't exactly scream "beating stuff up", but it's very catchy.
- The Super Ability theme is perfect for when you're about to go on a rampage.
- When used against Grand Doomer, as well as 7-3 (in the Extra Mode as well), this faster paced and more heroic version of the Super Ability Theme plays.
- Grand Doomer battle theme.
- 5-2 from Nutty Noon deserves mention, especially as it plays with a beautiful sunset.
- The Aurora Theme from White Wafers. The chilling wind sound is a nice touch.
- Dangerous Dinner Stage 3. Bonus points for also playing during the movie where Magolor reveals that he was Evil All Along.
- And the Magma theme, which also plays in Dangerous Dinner.
- Sewer Area
Misc.
- The Kirby Dance. You know you love it, and not just because of Kirby's crazy breakdancing skills.
- Awwwwwwwwwwwwww. (And even better is this, set to Checker Knights)
- Some of the best remixes can be found in the fan albums Concert of the Starry Sky and The Large Concert of the Starry Sky by doujin group slavation by faith records. One in particular is a full fledged original arrangement of the intro to Kirby Super Star: Magical Cosmic Tour by Yamajet.
- A pretty well-known Kirby arrange album, Rise of the Star, has been around since 2005. It's loaded with tons of nostalgia fuel, and every single track is well worth a listen.
- The theme song to Kirby: Right Back At Ya!, which is such so fast paced, catchy and jazz-infused that it even gives The Fairly OddParents a run for its money .
- The original Japanese opening is adorable and one heck of an Ear Worm.
- Smash 64's version of Gourmet Race + Drop it Like it's Hot = this awesomeness.
- DJ the S's remixes, in particular Ultra Heavy Lobster and Battle Over Mt. Dedede and just go listen to all of them, okay?
