Radd

The hero of Kid Radd (the game and the comic), he's a hero sprite who initially fights to rescue his girlfriend Sheena. Forced from his world when the Moderators arrive to free him, he must adapt to life outside.

  • Captain Ersatz: Of the hero of a lesser-known NES game, Totally Rad.
  • Classic Cheat Code: Radd can unlock the Hoverboard with Right, Up, Right, A, Down, Down. (R U RADD?)
  • Glass Cannon: Can unleash incredible firepower, but can only take four hits of any strength.
  • Groin Attack: On Kobayashi
  • The Hero
  • My God, What Have I Done?: After destroying a Moderator ship pursuing him, the first time he actually killed someone.
  • The Slacker: As a result of never making any decisions without his human around.
  • Too Dumb to Live: He confronts the person who sold him the illegal code, and forces him to give him another. He ends up getting some corrupt code in the process and almost dies.
  • Took a Level In Badass: Gets more competent at fighting as time goes along.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Plays right into G.I. Guy's plan to destroy the Internet

Sheena

Radd's girlfriend.

Bogey

A minor enemy from Radd's game who is carrying a power-up

Gnarl

The main villain of Radd's game.

Captain QB

An officer for the Moderators, formerly from a fighting game

Itty Bitty

A shopkeeper in Hopetown

  • Hammerspace: Can store an unlimited number of items, including entire ships.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: His merchant-based abilities don't sound impressive, but they are useful at some crucial moments.

Dr. Amp

Joule

Amp's assistant, a bee girl.

G.I. Guy

The founder and leader of the Moderators. He grows disillusioned with the violence inherent in sprites and wants to destroy the internet and real world.

Crystal

A low-level enemy sprite from an RPG

The Seer

A virus that gained sentience after expanding to every corner of the Internet

Kobayashi

The Discount Ninja, hired for $20 by some Moderators who wanted to pocket the rest of the money allocated
