Kid Icarus/YMMV
- And the Fandom Rejoiced:
- The first game in the series is set to return as a 3D Classic.
- What's more the remake added backgrounds. And nice ones at that, too... although it's mostly to make up for something that the 3DS, when it comes to pitch black backgrounds, is infamously known to do by now.
- Also, players outside of Japan will finally get to hear the soundtrack from the Famicom Disk System version, after many years!
- The first game in the series is set to return as a 3D Classic.
- Awesome Music
- The opening theme-- so good, Super Smash Bros. Brawl used it twice.
- The main theme and its many variations.
- Demonic Spiders:
- Eggplant Wizards, they showed up in the Game Boy sequel, too. Pluton and Pluton Fly are also pretty horrible.
- Similar to Plutons and Pluton Flies, Sticky Talons in Myths and Monsters steal your powerups and sell them to the black market, where you can buy them back for an exorbitant amount of hearts.
- Eggplant Wizards, they showed up in the Game Boy sequel, too. Pluton and Pluton Fly are also pretty horrible.
- Ear Worm: The Reaper's theme. In fact, due to the better sound effects on the original Famicom version he originally let out hideous screeches.
- First Installment Wins: Many people, when discussing the long amount of time since this series had a sequel, forget that there was already a sequel to the first game.
- Faux Symbolism
- Funny Aneurysm Moment: The ending of Of Myths and Monsters to those who've played Uprising. Pit flying too close to a cartoony sun and having his wings fall off was both funny and a nod to the original Icarus legend, until... Uprising has Pit's wings burn as a plot point, and it's DEFINATELY not Played for Laughs this time
- Goddamned Bats: The Reapers, who take a dozen hits to kill and summon a swarm of Reapettes if alerted. And many flying enemies, including the Monoeyes.
- I Am Not Shazam: His name is Pit, not Kid Icarus. (No thanks to Captain N: The Game Master or the Irate Gamer.)
- Stuck in Their Shadow: The existence of Metroid probably played a part in keeping another sequel from being made until Uprising.
