Kamen Rider Gaim/YMMV
- Americans Hate Tingle: In Japan, Jonouchi was still popular and was paired with Hase even after he abandoned him for losing his Sengoku Driver. Not so much here in the west, at least until the later half of the series.
- Broken Base: The fruit theme for one. Also the anime-esque Saga system.
- Crazy Awesome: Oren takes about 5 weird concepts, and somehow combines them into an awesome badass.
- Draco in Leather Pants: Kaito, Roshuo, and even Takatora. It helps that all three of them aren't entirely bad.
- Ensemble Darkhorse:
- Oren Pierre Alfonso/Kamen Rider Bravo, mostly for being the source of best comedies in the show after his debut. His Heel-Face Turn makes him even more popular.
- Despite being a Jerkass, Kaito Kumon is very popular for his mix of badassery and honor to the point that the producers decided to give him an unplanned upgrade in the form of the Genesis Driver, when only Takatora and the New Generation Riders are supposed to have one. Even after becoming Lord Baron, some fans still love him and mourned his death.
- Yoko Minato is also this for being an actually competent female Kamen Rider.
- Among the villains, Takatora is easily among the most popular for his Badass nature, lack of despicable traits and complex backstory, in fact he remained alive by the end of the series, despite undergoing near death experiences twice. Naturally, several fans call it.
- Zack the moment he became Armored Rider Knuckle and a nicer person. Like with Takatora above, several fans knew that Kaito couldn't have killed him.
- Despite starting off as The Scrappy, Hideyasu Jonouchi quickly jumped to this level like Urobuchi said he would when he realizes his mistakes and becomes a more tolerable comic-relief character.
- Fashion-Victim Villain:
- Oh Micchy, no one is going to take you seriously as a villain as long as you wear those atrocious sweaters. Thank god, he switched to suits.
- Ryoma's off work clothes are utterly ridiculous. He dresses like a pre-schooler with his vest and borderline short-shorts. All the man is missing is an oversized lollipop.
- Love to Hate: Oren is a complete Jerkass who deserves some sort of punishment, but he's also a hilarious Badass.
- Ryoma Sengoku, hands down. He's a despicable man for sure, but he's just so damn quirky and an excellent fighter.
- Memetic Badass: Kouta after becoming the Man of the Beginning/eating the Forbidden Fruit. No Rider short for possibly Hyper Kabuto can be his equal. None.
- Takatora is also this for not just his fighting record in the series, but the fact he managed to cheat death TWICE. To say he's immortal is practically heads-on.
- The Scrappy:
- Thanks to Values Dissonance, there some who took a dislike toward Akira for her speech to Kouta in #3.
- Some fans see Jonouchi as this after abandoning Ryoji once his belt was destroyed. They felt satisfied with Oren's harassment towards him, so much that the karmic payback followed by the Heel Realization in #25 helped him get redeemed with the fan base.
- Surprisingly Improved Sequel: To last year's Kamen Rider Wizard, which many considered to be one of the weakest Neo Heisei shows. Almost all problems with Wizard people have has been addressed here. Storyline overall is done in a more complex manner beyond just a cliche Monster of the Week plot, characters have more depth and development to them than just being there for the sake of it, the main characters is considered more likable, fights are more-or-less even between the good and bad guys, villains and monsters have more deeper depth to them than just Exclusively Evil, and the pacing of the story is much faster and more pragmatic with its time. Not even halfway of its run, it is considered one of the best if not the best Kamen Rider series ever, in fact the definitive series of the franchise.
- Unpopular Popular Character: Kaito is a Jerkass almost no one likes, but among the fans he ranks near the top, rivaling Ryu of W's fame in popularity in the fans.
- Ryoma is a more straight example. Almost everyone in-universe hates him (even Kouta and Mai just can't stand his guts), but his quirks and badassery helped endear himself to the fans.
- Win Back the Crowd: Fans who have been losing faith in the franchise because of Fourze and Wizard went back to it because of this show.
