• Actor Allusion: In "Save My Love," Judge Reardon has a red Swingline stapler on his desk.
• Fake American: Full-on Kentucky Nazi redneck Dewey Crowe is played by Australian Damon Herriman.
• Hey, It's That Guy!:
  • There're probably a good number of people here who can picture Arlo Givens yelling at Raylan, "The wrong kid died!"
  • "The Fixer" is played by Steve from Sex and the City.
  • "Long in the Tooth" features Alan Ruck as a renegade dentist. (Who pulls out Brandon Keener's--Garrus Valkarian's--teeth.)
  • "The Collection" has Robert Picardo as an art collector and Tony Hale as a meeky art seller.
  • Judge Reardon from "The Hammer" and "Save My Love" is played by Stephen Root. If you didn't recognize him as Milton (see Actor Allusion above), you may have recently seen him being stuffed into a CTU air vent.
  • Tommy Bucks is Zed, baby. Zed's dead.
  • Devil is Herc. Or Lucien.
  • Rachel is that woman who accused River of being a witch.
  • Season 2's Big Bad, Mags Bennett, is played by Margo Martindale, a HITG in the truest sense of the word (Camilla the record-keeper in Dexter, Ma Cox (across Arlo Givens above), Ray Drecker's first "client," Nurse Klowden, and too many minor-but-substantial movie roles to count).
  • Special note should go to all the alumni from Lost, mostly because they're amazing:
    • Arlo also played Ray Shephard (protagonist Jack's grandfather), in addition to his Walk Hard role.
    • Bo Crowder is Mr. Friendly.
    • Dickie Bennett is played by Jeremy Davies, who did Daniel Faraday. Looks like he has a better relationship with his mom here.
    • Also, Dickie's brother Coover is played by Brad William Henke, who played Bram.
    • William Mapother, better known as Ethan on Lost, turns up as Delroy.
  • Season 3 has Joey Quinn as Fletcher Nix, a quick-draw specialist, and Neal McDonough, who's been in everything but most recently was seen as "Dum-Dum" Dugan and Tin Man.
    • Also featuring Mykelti Williamson as Limehouse.
  • There has been a stunning number of guest stars formerly of Deadwood. Timothy Olyphant, Jim Beaver, Stephen Tobolowsky, W Earl Brown, Ray Mc Kinnon, Sean Bridgers and Brent Sexton.
• McLeaned: Kevin Rankin became a regular on Unforgettable, so Devil gets put out to pasture when he attempts to incite mutiny against Boyd.
