Justice (comics)/YMMV
The comic:
- Crazy Awesome: A talking psychic gorilla wearing a Green Lantern Ring on his foot? YES!!
- Fetish Fuel: Black Canary in lingerie. Poison Ivy completely nude except for some leaves covering her goody-bits.
- Narm: While Aquaman's turn to Papa Wolf can be classified as badass, one can't help but have flashbacks to Mel Gibson in Ransom when he's searching for Braniac.
- Nightmare Fuel:
- The opening chapter in which the heroes fail to prevent a nuclear holocaust, and the scene in which Clayface and Scarecrow break into Green Arrow and Black Canary's apartment.
- Brainiac's brain surgery on Aquaman.
- After defeating mind-controlled Batman and Alfred, Superman explains to a confused Captain Marvel that they were infected by microscopic worms. Then Supes looks at his own hand:
Superman: Good Lord! They're in me, too...
- Uncanny Valley: As with all of Ross' works.
- What an Idiot!: The Riddler flees into the worst possible nightclub.
Batman: (thinking) The Riddler should have known better than to try to escape through a place called The Batcave.
The band:
- Covered Up: Their remix of Simian's "Never Be Alone" is far more iconic than the original.
- Fridge Brilliance: In "Phantom Part 1.5"; "Aquatic Dance" by Vangelus and then all of the sudden : "Do the D.A.N.C.E, do the D.A.N.C.E!"
- "Ohio" from Audio, Video, Disco seems a bit odd at first...a bunch of random American place names in a song by a French group? But then listen to "Orleans" by David Crosby-- a song consisting entirely of French place names, sung by an American singer!
- Nightmare Fuel: The giant, glowing, golden humanoid that appears out of nowhere in the "Civilization" video.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks: Audio, Video, Disco's drastically different style has alienated some fans, to say the least.
