• Executive Meddling: Film's original title was supposed to be Night Crew: The Final Checkout, but the producers changed it.
• Recut: Original VHS-releases cut much of the gore, which is restored in the DVD-releases.
• Recycled Soundtrack: The main theme was originally used in Transformations (1989).
  • The entire movie uses library music--some of which had already been used in films such as A Christmas Story.
• Shout-Out: Bill's story about the guy in the fire rescue who "had the head in one hand, sandwich in the other", is lifted from Raising Arizona.
