I.M. Meen/YMMV
- Nightmare Fuel - Being an Edutainment game, Meen would be pretty scary if you were 6 or so.
- This particular cutscene: "Lost? Frightened? Confused? GOOD!" Cue Evil Laugh.
- And on a semi related note...
- They should be more careful about this...
- Those videos are nothing compared to THIS [dead link]
- The sequel, Chill manor has some really surprising moments, like some pictures suddenly coming alive after you grab an important item. Not to mention that if you lose, Ophelia Chill uses the book of ages to erase you from history, which at the very least would make people forget you.
- The main villain of Hooray for Meen (Bloke) plans to blow up an entire city.
- The T-Rex in Dino Hunter eating Dirkwell and Quickload.
- Ear Worm - Oh look, what clever children, see them study, watch them learn...
- Excuse Plot - arguably. Meen is annoyed with little bookworms who study too much and traps them inside a book. What were the bookworms doing there, why does Mr. Meen hate them so? Mystery.
- According to the scrolls found around the levels, Meen hates smart children because they scare less easily. A reason odd enough that it still counts as an excuse plot.
- Maybe he hates smart kids because he's jealous of their knowledge, and locks them away because he doesn't want them to grow up and become more successful than him.
- Perhaps it was because of past traumas as a librarian. He was forced to endure Insufferable Geniuses who...just look at the WMG related to this statement.
- Goddamned Bats - The spiders. They appear throughout the game, move and attack quickly, and often attack in groups.
- Ham and Cheese: Meen hams it up with the best of them.
- Memetic Molester - Meen, despite his clear hatred of children, is often seen as a pedophile, mostly because of how he kidnaps them. Gnorris sometimes gets the same treatment.
- Memetic Mutation - As this was animated by the CDi Zelda guys, this was a given.
- Narm - One of the most potent examples ever.
- So Bad It's Good - The cutscenes are certainly entertaining, but the gameplay itself is genuinely fun.
