Basic Trope: A character has a hairstyle that run in the family.
- Straight: Keith, Bob's son, has the same hairstyle he does.
- Exaggerated: Keith was the same hairstyle as Bob, who was the same hairstyle as Charlie his father, who in turn has the same hair style as his father and so on.
- Downplayed: Keith's hairstyle only looks a little like Bob's.
- Justified:
- Keith and his entire family are born with the same hairstyle to differentiate themselves from other families, as everybody looks the same.
- They all have the same taste.
- They all go to the same barber.
- Inverted: Everyone in the family look like clones of each other, except for their hair.
- Subverted: Keith's hairstyle is the same as Bob's, in the front, but not the back.
- Double Subverted: He cuts the hair on the back, making the indentical.
- Parodied: Kara, has the exact same hair style as her mother when she's born including the giant perm and hair accessories.
