Basic Trope: A character has a hairstyle that run in the family.

  • Straight: Keith, Bob's son, has the same hairstyle he does.
  • Exaggerated: Keith was the same hairstyle as Bob, who was the same hairstyle as Charlie his father, who in turn has the same hair style as his father and so on.
  • Downplayed: Keith's hairstyle only looks a little like Bob's.
  • Justified:
    • Keith and his entire family are born with the same hairstyle to differentiate themselves from other families, as everybody looks the same.
    • They all have the same taste.
    • They all go to the same barber.
  • Inverted: Everyone in the family look like clones of each other, except for their hair.
  • Subverted: Keith's hairstyle is the same as Bob's, in the front, but not the back.
  • Double Subverted: He cuts the hair on the back, making the indentical.
  • Parodied: Kara, has the exact same hair style as her mother when she's born including the giant perm and hair accessories.

  • Enforced: Fans were uneasy with another set of characters for the sequel. A heavy resemblance to the iconic hairstyles appeased them well.
