Heat Guy J/YMMV

  • Crowning Moment of Awesome: Noriega proclaims himself to be the King of Judoh to the Vita Company members. Giovanni then kicks the door open and shoots him. All of the Vita Company members then stand up and proceed to repeatedly shoot Noriega, as he realises that they were still loyal to Clair. Also The Battle of Kabuki Road, wherein a ramen chef deflects a hail of bullets with a frying pan, and Clair charges a tank with a hand grenade.
    • "And what did I say?" "....you piss me off." Cue Bay Side Slider and "Forcing restart."
  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: Come back, Mauro.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: "Bay Side Slider", J's Powerup Theme Music, played on bagpipes and electric guitar.
    • Also "FACE", the opening theme. Hey! Boy! Looking for your soul! The second ending theme, "Hikari" by Kyoko's seiyuu Saeko Chiba is pretty nice, too.
  • Designated Villain: Toward the end, some characters view Clair as a villain when he obviously isn't in that villainous a position anymore.
  • Draco in Leather Pants: Clair and Shun. In Clair's case, the leather pants are literal as well as figurative!
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Clair Leonelli and Ken Edmundo.
  • Fridge Brilliance: Shun effortlessly beats up Daisuke earlier in the series, but in the finale Daisuke has the upper hand. Is it heroic resolve? No, it's that Shun still hasn't completely recovered from the sniper bullet that went through his chest not too long ago
  • Fridge Logic: If Monica can barely manage to earn enough to pay for the trailer she shares with her mother, how can she afford to keep a donkey? And how is said donkey housetrained if there's no way it can fit into their trailer home?!
  • Hollywood Homely: Kyoko gets depressed when trading cards of beautiful girls are being passed around and there isn't one of her. Turns out there was, but she didn't know about it.
  • Ho Yay: Mitchal & Ian. The fact that Mitchal blew himself up shortly after Ian's death, and the fact that they're almost always together is certainly yaoi fodder.
  • Magnificent Bastard: Lorenzo Leonelli. His son Clair tries to live up to this, but falls short.
  • Memetic Molester: Lorenzo is known to have been physically and emotionally abusive to Clair, and thought to have been sexually abusive as well. His imposing and creepy nature doesn't help any.
  • The Scrappy: Again, Lorenzo. Many fans hate him for the way he treated Clair.
  • So Bad It's Good
  • The Woobie: Most of the important guys (and one little girl).
