Anvilicious: One episode stressed over and over that Brad was being a "gaysist."
Growing the Beard: Started out as your average generic sitcom, then suddenly grew a personality somewhere around the second season and promptly turned into a regular Fountain of Memes.
Hollywood Pudgy: The pilot repeatedly has people calling Max a "chubby gay guy", which might not be how the viewer would describe him.
Unfortunate Implications: Subverted in one episode. Jane encourages Penny to change the guys she goes out with since she did it with Brad. Penny ends up changing the guy so much that he ends up getting back together with his ex-girlfriend. Then Penny quickly points out how Jane used to have pink hair and once flashed a police horse.
