Hank
Hank was a short-lived 2009 sitcom on ABC.
Hank Pryor (Kelsey Grammer) is a high-powered executive who gets fired from his job. His family has to move from New York to Virginia, and Hank has to start his career over.
The show got low ratings and poor reviews, and was canceled after only five episodes.
Tropes used in Hank include:
- Creator Backlash: Kelsey Grammer admitted that he had called Warner Brothers to ask the show to be cancelled because it wasn't funny.
- So Okay It's Average.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: There had to be a better sitcom to be made out of the premise of an executive getting fired from his job. Especially in light of 2008's economic meltdown – it could have been so much edgier and angry than a bland sitcom.
