• Anvilicious: Not surprising considering the premise, culminating in Miller's line at the end: "The reason we go to war always matters!"
  • Freddy's "It is not for you to decide what happens here."
• Unfortunate Implications: What was intended to be an anti-war movie ends up coming off as blatantly pro-war, due to the cliche characters, the constant references to Bush (most of them favorable for some reason) and the few anti-war characters being depicted as antagonists. Maybe this was done to avoid Never Trust a Trailer, as it was promoted as being similar to the Bourne series (which had the same star and was directed by the same person who did the sequels).
