Basic Trope: There's a bar where the heroes go after hours to unwind and chitchat.

  • Straight: In the comic-book city of Tropesville, some superheroes spend their off hours at "Buffy's Bar".
  • Exaggerated: In the comic-book city of Tropesville, all superbeings attend wild parties at "Buffy's Bar" 24/7.
  • Justified: The owner of Buffy's Bar lets the superheroes run a tab without revealing their true identities.
  • Inverted: Bad Guy Bar
  • Subverted: The superheroes try to hang out at Buffy's Bar, but the owner chases them away as it's bad for business.
  • Double Subverted: ...for them to be in the main bar -- they're supposed to go directly to the secret bar in the Abandoned Warehouse adjoining.
  • Parodied: The superheroes spend all their time carousing at Buffy's Bar, even when alien invaders attack the city.
  • Deconstructed: Buffy's Bar is a known place of superheroes' gathering, which prompts constant attacks by supervillains.
  • Reconstructed: After being destroyed yet again, Buffy's Bar is rebuilt as an impregnable fortress brisling with Nifravium-loaded cannons.
