• On the 10th-Anniversary show, Alton is challenged to find a second use for the one unitasker he allows — the fire extinguisher. He uses it and a water bottle with holes to turn a basket of grapes, blueberries and raspberries into a chilled, carbonated fruit smoothie.
• Blowing up a vicious wild pig with a hand grenade.
• One episode has him making a delicious treat made with parsnips for his picky-eater niece. He succeeds to the point where she doesn't even believe him when he said that said ingredient was in the dish.
