Girls und Panzer/Awesome
- Duck Team's ambush of the Matilda would've been awesome if the St. Gloriana tank hadn't had rear armor tough enough to shrug off the Type 89's shot. The St. Gloriana crew was totally focused on an opening garage door, and didn't notice an outside elevator rising behind them....
- Pravda's flag tank is racing around the deserted village, pursued by the Panzer IV, but Miho ordered the StuG III to break off the chase. Yukari, spotting from a church tower, tells Miho where they need the Pravda tank to go. She goads the T-34 into turning down the correct street, and KABOOM! a snowdrift erupts in front of it — the StuG III crew buried their panzer in the drift. Point blank range, no chance to dodge, game over. (Duck Team, though hit by Nonna in the IS-2 at approximately the same moment, was somehow not killed, which is pretty awesome in itself.)
- The Maus. It is introduced when Oarai is chasing a lone Kuromorimine tank, which leads them into the city. Out of a side street rolls a mobile wall ... which turns out to have a massive gun turret. They pepper it with their cannons to no effect, and then it takes out two tanks with one shot each.
- Oarai returns the favor later. The Student Council wedges their tank under the Maus to trap it, Rabbit and Leopon race past to get the turret to turn, Duck Team rides up over Turtle and onto the Maus itself to trap the turret, and then Anglerfish races up a hill to get the angle for Hana to put a round down through the engine.
- Rabbit Team using "tank jujutsu" against the Jagdtiger, which is five and a half times Rabbit's tonnage and mounts the same huge gun as the Maus.
- Leopon Team holding the tunnel, not maneuvering, just sitting there (and shooting back) as round after round slams into them, almost all at not quite the right angle to score a "kill." It's their very first time in battle.
- Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu! includes a bit of Backstory awesomeness for Maho when Miho tells her Oarai friends a story about the time while she was still in Kuromorimine's tankery force. One day, some of the girls reported seeing a UFO. Maho looked through binoculars and seemed extremely disturbed by whatever she saw ... then climbed into her tank and blasted the UFO out of the sky with the main gun. She stammered as she told everyone that Germany was said to have built a UFO during the war, so there was nothing strange about one flying over their school. Present-day, Saori comments that Maho's reasoning is what's strange, Erwin remarks on how strong the Nishizumi style is, and Oryou murmurs, "Space warfare..."
Der Film
- The BT-42. Anchovy, Duck Team, and Turtle Team have their own awesome moment in taking on the Karl-Gerat (involving launching Anchovy's tank from the Duck, and when that fails to cross the gap to the Karl, using Anchovy's tank to launch Turtle across the gap and shoot down the Karl's barrel and detonate its magazine), but the BT-42 draws off the three tanks guarding it and eliminates them single-handedly, even after getting their treads shot off, and then the wheels on one side shot off.
- Maho shows exactly why the Nishizumi style is held in such high regard in tankery: her tank is chased into a pincer attack (turning a one-on-one chase into a three-on-one turkey shoot...or so the University team thinks), but with perfect precision, she blasts the two ambushing tanks as they come out of an alley (by attacking them from an angle where they can't both shoot her at once), zips around them to use them as cover from the chaser tank, and then shoots the pursuer through the gap between the wrecked ambushers.
- Alice Shimada makes short work of five Chihatan tanks by herself. Even with five nimble opponents, she and her crew are simply much better shots.
