• Fan Nickname:
  • "Batshit Ryoma" - Ryoma - a near permanent Slasher Smile combined with his sheer Hot-Blooded, balls-to-the-wall Determinator personality causes many to doubt his sanity.
  • "Kenny" - Musashi - for having to die in every continuity, Heroic Sacrifice or not.
  • THE RAPE MACHINE - The Black Getter from Armageddon, thanks to a kickass design and a really aggressive fighting style.
• Names to Know in Anime:
  • Akira Kamiya: Classic Ryoma. Also the narrator of Armageddon
  • Hideo Ishikawa: Non-classic Ryoma.
    • However, he's the one that voices the most Crazy Awesome Ryoma.
  • Keaton Yamada: Classic Hayato.
  • Naoya Uchida: Non-Classic Hayato, who manages to sound even more Badass and Hot-Blooded than Ryoma in New Getter.
  • Takahiro Sakurai: Gou (Shin vs Neo)
  • Yuu Asakawa: Shou (Shin vs Neo)
  • Tomokazu Seki: Gou (Armageddon)
    • Incidentally, Kei (Armageddon) is voiced by Allenby's seiyuu (Narumi Hidaka). Looks like this is one show where her crush on Domon gets reprocipated.
• Shout-Out:
  • Among others, New Getter Robo contains a blink-and-you'll-miss-it Shout Out to Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.
  • Armageddon also features shout outs to several dozen mecha anime shows in the grunt forces of the good guys... including half of them being various Gundam mecha.
    • Don’t forget, the Towers ID is apparently NCC-1701-F
  • Another one from New : the password to the information about Getter Rays-powered weaponry? CUTIEHONEY. Yeah, that's pretty stupid.
  • The Andromeda Strain shows up in a chapter of Getter Robo G explicitly by name, which serves as the basis of a biological weapon that the Hundred Demon Empire tries to steal.
• Super Robot Wars: Better to list which games doesn't include Getter in it, which are J, K, and L. Special mention in that it forms one of the corners of the "Holy Trinity" of the series, the others being Gundam and Mazinger.)
  Also, most of the time it appears, it's Getter Robo G. Shin Getter vs Neo Getter, appears in Reversal and GC/XO, Armageddon appeared in Destiny, and New Getter appeared in NEO. Armageddon, however, made a triumphant return in Super Robot Wars Z 2.
  Shin Getter is also part of a group called the Three Gods by much of the fandom, the other two being Genesic GaoGaiGar and Mazinkaiser. In-game and in promotional art, those three robots are considered pretty much the biggest heroes of the Super Robot type and are always shown front-and-center.
