Gallery Fake
Gallery Fake is a story about an ex-curator, Fujita Reiji, who opens a Gallery full of forgeries, named "Gallery Fake". This gallery has ties to the black market and is the place to go to get a masterpiece cheap... at least, that's what everyone says. It ran as a manga in Big Comic Spirits from 1992-2005, and as a 37-episode anime in 2005.

Tropes used in Gallery Fake include:
- Crazy Prepared: Fujita has a special board used to scrape centuries-old binding off of the back of paintings. What is remarkable about this is that it's installed in the back of his suitcase.
- Guns Are Worthless: Pietro Bradinov, the restorer, takes a bullet that goes in one end of his shoulder and out another and for several minutes doesn't even bleed. He never reacts to being shot.
- Whammy Bid: While bidding on Monet's End of Summer, Fujita's doubles the running bid to TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS.
