Funny Face (animation)
The half-hour cartoon Funny Face was produced by Renegade Animation in 2009. Its characters are based on drink mixes sold from the 1960s to the 1990s. It is aimed at kids 6-11.
A trailer can be seen here, and there is an episode list at the Big Cartoon database.
Not to be confused with the 1957 musical starring Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire, or a 1971 sitcom on CBS starring Sandy Duncan.
Tropes used in Funny Face (animation) include:
- Amusing Injuries
- Black Dude Dies First
- Idiosyncratic Wipes: While not an actual wipe, each vignette ends with a purple splat of "fruit juice" covering the screen.
- Killed Off for Real: the melon
- Loads and Loads of Characters
- Raymanian Limbs: An extreme version; the characters don't even have hands or feet. Anything they are holding or using simply floats beside them.
- Unfortunate Ingredients: The original drink contained cyclamate.
