Franklin/YMMV

  • Nightmare Fuel: The Gargoyales in Franklin and the Adventures of the Noble Knights can be this if you're a four year old, especially if you have front row seats. Glowing eyes may not be scary to older viewers, but for toddlers...
    • The 90s computer game "Franklin's Reading World" had a scene where he was in the forest. And the trees looked relatively scary.
  • Tear Jerker: Granny's tale of losing her parents and home in a fire in Franklin and the Turtle Lake Treasure definitely qualifies. The "I Wonder" song from Franklin and the Green Knight is another example. And one could easily shed a tear for Harriet in Franklin's Magic Christmas when she breaks down crying after she and Franklin get lost in the woods and Franklin becomes rather angrier than he should. (Though, to Franklin's credit, he realizes quickly that he messed up and he also takes responsibility.)
  • Uncanny Valley: Franklin and Friends is like a more detailed Ratatoing.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: Considering almost no character has any Tertiary Sexual Characteristics, and they all have Species Surnames, the only way to really tell what gender a character is sometimes is by their voice. Considering most of the younger male characters are voiced by women, it's hard to tell sometimes.
