Flashman/YMMV

• Acceptable Targets: Subverted, as Flashman expresses negative opinions about pretty much every group.
• Alternate Character Interpretation: Flashman first started out as the antagonist in Tom Brown's Schooldays. In this version, he's more of a Villain Protagonist / Magnificent Bastard.
• Complete Monster: There's often one opposed to Flashman so that the antagonists will seem incontrovertibly worse than him, including Rudi Starnberg (a Rupert Hentzau Expy) in Royal Flash and Count Ignatieff in Flashman at the Charge and Flashman and the Great Game.
• Magnificent Bastard:
  • If Flashman isn't one himself, then Abraham Lincoln definitely qualifies.
  • As does Otto von Bismarck.
  • Rudi Starnberg.
  • Nicholas Ignatieff also counts.
