  • Anvilicious: The second half of the play is nothing more than Athena teaching the Erinyes about mercy and justice and not to follow a vendetta blindly.
  • Ending Fatigue: Orestes is acquitted at the middle of the play and promptly disappears. The rest of the play deals with the Erinyes whining and Athena trying to convince them to accept it.
  • High Octane Nightmare Fuel: The Erinyes’ humming. At least, it seems that it was to the original public.
  • Values Dissonance: Apollo manages to convince Athena that the man is more important than the woman in a marriage. Sure, he uses her as example since she was born of Zeus without a mother, but still…
