Der Schatz im Silbersee/YMMV

• Crowning Music of Awesome: Martin Böttcher's sumptuous, sweeping score for this movie is wonderful. The Colonel also has a good Leitmotif.
• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: This film and its sequels made Pierre Brice one of the biggest stars of the 1960s in Germany and to this day he is immediately recognized there. In his native France by contrast he was and is a comparative unknown.
• Ho Yay: Old Shatterhand and Winnetou (unavoidable, considering the Karl May novels). Books have been written about this.
