- Complete Monster: "The Spades King", the king of darkness and the Big Bad of Chapter 1. He is introduced coldly scolding his son Lancer for making friends with "Lighteners" before grabbing and threatening to kill said son to make the Lighteners kneel to him. He then tries to force Lancer to watch his friends die to "teach him a lesson". After Susie, Kris and Ralsei defeat him, he manipulates Ralsei's idealism making up a Freudian Excuse and instantly trying to kill them again once Ralsei heals him. He is a petty cruel tyrant who establishes the darker tone of the sequel.
