Daydream Believer/Headscratchers

Let us assume for the sake of argument that Daydream Believers who claim to be married to a fictional character on the astral plane actually are. How does this in anyway justify trying to get the marriage legally recognized in this world? There is no way for any third party to verify that "fictional" character has consented to the marriage.
