- Actually less insane than it sounds, since they sent her back in time to five years before his powers were supposed to activate, so it wouldn't matter whether she was vulnerable to them. On the other hand, when you find out that Mori intentionally sabotaged the mission by sending the wrong bullet, AND that he personally picked Karin for the mission without realizing she was female, then you're pretty much guaranteed to facepalm. Which brings us to...
- Nothing Can Stop Us Now: Probably the worst-planned attempt at a Xanatos Roulette that this troper has ever seen. It's like the Big Bad was desperately clutching both balls for the entirety of the plot. In the end, he travels back in time to personally taunt people he's already effectively defeated, and accomplishes nothing for it except being Driven to Suicide when his minions are all erased from existence.
