Cucumber Quest/YMMV

• Awesome Art: So pretty...
• Crowning Moment of Funny: The entirety of this page.
• Designated Protagonist Syndrome: Almond is a Large Ham while Cuco is the Only Sane Man. It makes a sort of sense why Almond ends up dominating almost every scene she's in.
• Idiot Plot: Played with. There are several points in the story so far where a more logical and reasonable choice could have saved everyone a lot of trouble, but they never do it because it's simply not how these things work. It usually runs on Rule of Funny.

Cucumber: But- But that's just stupid!

• Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Almond might as well be the main character at this point.
  • This was one of the few criticisms that the story focuses on the competent and brave Almond who has shown she was skilled with a sword and saved Cucumber's life, even though the comic was called Cucumber Quest. Chapter 1 seems to focus on Cucumber, and he has recently managed to finally show the audience what he can do with magic, and it is powerful.
    • The Scrappy: Response to Almond's return in Chapter 1 was... not kind.
• Unfortunate Implications: Played with though never really shown overtly, the assertions that Cucumber must be the hero and Almond is just his sister is fairly sexist. Gigidigi however is satirizing the conventions of the genre, not actually sexist herself.
