• Cissnei Debuted in Crisis Core: Actually she first appeared in Before Crisis as a playable character. She wasn't named aside from "Shuriken (Female)" due to being named by the player. Cissnei not being her real name is shout out to this.
• Hey, It's That Voice!: Rick Gomez, better known for his role as George Luz in Band of Brothers, voices Zack.
  • Also Zack shares voice actors with Gippal from Final Fantasy X-2 for both the English (Rick Gomez) and Japanese (Kenichi Suzumura) versions.
  • Gackt is Genesis.
  • Sephiroth is Superman.
