Critical Dissonance: Tommy Boy and Black Sheep were both poorly received by critics (the former is on Roger Ebert's "Most Hated Films" list, and Gene Siskel proudly said the latter film was one of only 2 films he'd ever walked out on in 26 years of reviewing), but were well received by audiences.
Funny Aneurysm Moment: In Phil Hartman's last episode as an SNL cast member, he and Farley spoofed "So Long, Farewell" from The Sound of Music in the last sketch of the night. Both died within six months of each other (Hartman in May 1998, Farley in December 1997).
- Thanks to Farley and Patrick Swayze's untimely deaths, their Chippendales sketch, while still a Crowning Moment of Funny, has gotten much sadder.
Tear Jerker: His last words were said to be "Please, don't leave me...".
