Castlevania (Nintendo 64)/YMMV
- Awesome Music: Did have some nice music.
- Complete Monster: Besides the obvious choice, Actrise is quite possibly the most shockingly horrible character in the entire series. Any character who willingly sacrifices children, including her own daughter, so she can stay young forever, only to laugh it off when called out on it is enough to make all of Dracula's other cronies look like peanuts in comparison.
- Contested Sequel: And how!
- Fridge Horror: You only see Rosa once as Carrie. Considering she attempts Suicide by Sunlight in her second meeting with Reinhardt, it makes you wonder if she succeeded.
- Game Breaker: Carrie's homing fireballs. Also, if you charge one up and then utilize her close-quarters ring attack, it hits with the fireball's strength.
- High Octane Nightmare Fuel: The chase through the rose garden in the third level. The moment you hear a chainsaw start up, you know for sure there's gonna be a lot of running and screaming.
- The face Actrise makes after being defeated is a bit unsettling.
- Despite the dated graphics, the vampires in this game are legitimately terrifying. Especially one creepy boss fight against a vampire that is immediately followed by a fight against the vampire's recent victim, now a vampire herself.
- Moment of Awesome: Henry's secret levels. Running through Dracula's castle with a flintlock pistol that devastates everything is so much fun.
- That One Boss: The Behemoth in Castle Center.
- That One Level: Carrying a volatile explosive through the castle's interior, requiring you to make the whole trip without taking damage or jumping. This applies if you're carrying the Nitro, which of course is the one that requires going the long way around. The Mandragora doesn't have those drawbacks.
- Toy Ship: In Carrie's imperfect ending, Malus convinces her to promise to marry him.
