Castlevania: Symphony of the Night/Trivia

  • Beam Me Up, Scotty: Whenever Dracula's famous question is quoted, the word "little" is commonly forgotten.
  • Disowned Adaptation: Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi wasn't very fond of the Sega Saturn port, which was developed by a different team (Konami Computer Entertainment Nagoya), as noted in the June 2007 issue of Play Magazine:

"I understand why fans who've never played the Saturn version would be interested in those features, but I really, really don't feel good about them. I couldn't put my name on that stuff and present it to Castlevania fans." -- Koji Igarashi

  • Hey, It's That Voice!: Several.
  • Marth Debuted in Smash Bros: Shaft was cut out from the SNES version of Castlevania: Dracula X despite appearing in the original PC Engine game, so most players outside Japan first knew about him in this game.
  • No Export for You: The downloadable PSN version of the game has not been released in Europe, for no reason whatsoever. It's still avaliable in Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles and through Xbox Live Arcade, however.
  • Sequel First: Unless you count the SNES version.
  • What Could Have Been: If they'd just started with the massively beefed-up enemies and traps of the second castle, the game would've been Nintendo Hard, and it wouldn't have broken the base as hard. Unused voice acting featured in the sound files of the PS version reveals an unmade ending in which Maria becomes a demon, much like Annette did in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood.
