Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion/YMMV

• And the Fandom Rejoiced: When people found out that Captain Planet was playable.
  • To some smaller extent, Samurai Jack himself. This also led to The Scotsman and Aku being added to XL. Also, Johnny Bravo.
    • Young Ben is also in the game, though this is probably more for those who don't really prefer the sequel series.
  • Most of the Original VAs are returning (most, barring one).
• Ass Pull: The Narrator's Remote being the villain of the game.
• Awesome Moments: Let's be honest, the appearance of Captain Planet, theme song and everything!
• Breather Boss: Mojo's first fight is arguably one of the easiest in story mode as you don't need to damage Mojo, just the core.
• Critical Dissonance: There's a bit of it, here and there.
• Demonic Spiders: The Spacenutboogies from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends are the strongest enemies in the game, and they constantly have temper tantrum shockwave attacks.
• Fridge Brilliance: The narrator said he bought the remote cheap... I wonder why.
• Goddamn Bats: Many, if not all the enemies can knock you back into places you do not want to go.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Cartoon Network at one point had Sweepstakes for getting a copy of Super Smash Bros., called the "Smash Hit Giveaway" (Can be seen here). Several years later, they create this game.
• Nightmare Fuel: Him enters as the last boss in the Arcade mode in a rather creepy fashion. See here.
• So Okay It's Average: The game was released to rather mixed to negative reviews, due to the flunky gameplay and the various in-game glitches.
  • The reviews to the Updated Rerelease seem to be a bit more favorable.
• They Just Didn't Care: Most of the replacement voices sound nothing like the originals. Though this is no longer the case for XL. Most characters would be receiving their original VAs, but not everyone.
  • While really minor, Young Ben's Down-Special, which is Cannonbolt, uses the sequel look, even though this is pre-timeskip Ben.
• They Made an Off The Rails Plot: It's not uncommon for people to compare the story mode to that of a fanfic. We have the protagonists of many, many Cartoon Network shows, fighting all of the villains who teamed up, but the villains make some... Rather questionable area decisions (Vilgax in Marzipan City, for one), along with the reveal that the villain of the game is the remote control of the Narrator, which, while done in the manner of many of Cartoon Network's signature comedies, is entirely out of place in a Crisis Crossover, and one could argue that any of the villains in the game could have been better as the Big Bad.
