• Hey, It's That Voice!: No kidding on this one, since the '80's series got the best voice actors in several animated shows in the 80's/90's while both the 2000 specials and Adventures in Care-A-Lot got The Ocean Group backing them up. Resulting in:
  • Cree Summer is Inspector Gadget's Penny in the first two movies.
  • Also, Shreeky's and Baby Hugs' VA voiced Sailor Moon at one point.
    • Weird to say that Cheer Bear is also Sailor Moon in all three movies.
    • Not to mention that Champ Bear was Sailor Jupiter
  • Tara Strong, back when she was Tara Charendoff, is a Studious unicorn Pony who is sent to Ponyville to learn more about Friendship.
  • That's nothing. Tender Heart Bear is Billie Mae Richards -- better known as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer from the Rankin/Bass production.
  • Grumpy Bear's VA is Bob Dermer, who also voiced Ralph in The Raccoons and was the voice and puppeteer for Sam Crenshaw on Todays Special.
  • The original series shared quite a few voice actors with, of all shows, The Raccoons), The Adventures of Tintin and Nelvana's Babar cartoon. The full cast list is here but be warned: spending too much time on it will make you Go Mad from the Revelation... maybe.
    • The Movie had Cree Summer (Before She Was Famous) and Mickey Rooney, whilst The Sequel had that kid who fell over Niagara Falls in Superman II and Cree Summer... again
  • Dawn is actually Claire Redfield. What?
  • At one point, Wish Bear was Suga Baybee, the REAL Suga Baybee
  • Will you imagine that Amigo Bear's first voice actor is a Pokémon Trainer who always travels with his Pikachu?
    • Well this is even weirder when both he and Good Luck Bear were also Athrun Zala and both Tieria Erde and Hong Long.^[1]
  • Grizzle himself is a clone of Al Da Flaga. This even makes is more unbelievable that Bedtime Bear is the ULTIMATE COORDINATOR!
  • Proud Heart Cat, Share Bear and True Heart Bear were Tigrerra. You got to be kidding me when she's also Natsuko Fuji.
  • Funshine Bear is a Super Saiyan. Not a force to reckon with for sure. Surely his yellow fur is a clear-cut warning?
    • Bakugan related, the female Funshine Bear is also Runo.
  • Champ Bear is Miroku. Imagine him sucking up his friends using his left hand.
  • The 2005 Love-A-Lot Bear is a Cabbit who can turn into a Spaceship.
  • No one would believe that Friend Bear is actually Jean Gray.
  • Ai CAL, being back in the hands of DiC, brought in VAs from DiC's regular casting agency, Ocean Group, who were also providing casting for the My Little Pony series since My Little Pony Tales, and most recently for My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic. Makes you wonder if these ponies can use their cutie marks to stare out of their rump... Hence, in hindsight, we got:
    • Cheer Bear is Minty, Wysteria, Rarity and Princess Luna
    • Oopsy Bear is Applejack and Rainbow Dash^[2]
    • Harmony Bear is Zipzee, Sweetie Belle, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. She even sounds like Pinkie when she's not hyper, and like Fluttershy when she sings.
    • Friend Bear is Silver Spoon
    • Grumpy Bear is Chief Thunder Hooves and Rover. Also he is The God of Death! No wonder his Mobile Suit jokes were kinda ridiculous.
    • Bedtime Bear is Snails
    • Wish Bear is Bon Bon
    • Tenderheart Bear is Soarin', SERIOUSLY?
    • Secret Bear and McKenna were Tiddly Wink, Starsong and Diamond Tiara
    • Share Bear is the Old Cheerilee and Flitter Flutter
    • Surprise Bear is Melody, The Core 7 Cheerilee and Cotton Candy
    • Best Friend Bear is Kimono, Puzzlemint, Sweetberry and THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE!
    • Laugh-a-Lot Bear is Sunny Daze
    • In a more Hilarious in Hindsight, Funshine Bear's voice actor had a daughter and she voices a Cutie Mark Crusader! (Sweetie Belle)
• The Other Darrin: Sort of. Billie Mae Richards, the voice of Tender Heart Bear in the first two films and the DIC TV series, and Jim Henshaw, the voice of Bright Heart Raccoon in the first two films, had their roles switched in the Nelvana TV series.
  • The Latin American Spanish versions does this to ridiculous levels, because not only they switched out voice actors, they also switched voice acting studios and even studios from different countries. Just to give an idea, here is the whole story: The movies (with the exception of the Nutcracker Suite special) and the DiC TV series were dubbed in Mexico (and each movie were dubbed with different voice actors, with the only exception of Tender Heart Bear's VA), the first half of the Nelvana TV series were dubbed in Chile and the second half (when Shreeky appears for first time) was dubbed in Venezuela and the most recent specials and TV series are dubbed in Argentina right now.

• No Export for You: Oddly enough, Japan only got the second movie (A New Generation) of the original movie trilogy and none of the animated series until the 2000's direct-to-video specials. Taking into account the Japanese (and mostly East Asian) taste for anything cute and cuddly, it's really odd that the franchise skipped those audiences for many years.
