• What Might Have Been: As notoriously gory as this movie is, it could have been even worse. The director had planned on a scene in the beginning where the natives fed a man from an enemy tribe to piranhas. Unfortunately, he had no adequate underwater cameras, so the scene was never finished, and only a few still photos remain of this "lost" scene.
