  • Well, it's not like she ate all of it!
• Crosses the Line Twice: Where do we even start?
• Crowning Moment of Funny: "I kick arse for the Lord!". Also counts as a Crowning Moment of Awesome.
  • Selwyn in the park.
• Ensemble Darkhorse: Just about everyone loves Father McGruder, even though he has a pretty small role.
• Just Here for Godzilla: A lot of people who watch this movie may just do so for the Gorn.
• Moral Event Horizon: Turns out Lionel's mother crossed this long before she turned into a zombie, drowning both her husband and a woman he reputedly had an affair with in the bathtub. And then fabricated a lie that pushed blame onto Lionel.
• Nausea Fuel: The Custard scene.
• Nightmare Fuel: Lionel's zombified mother turns into a huge, hideous monstrosity at the end of the film.
  • The undead biker's internal organs slithering on their own in pursuit of Lionel as well.
  • Rita's death. Baby Selwyn rips threw the back of her head. What's worse? She's still alive while he does it.
• Squick: When guests come over to see his ill mom, they have a relatively uneventful dinner until his mother's ear falls off and lands in the custard. She then absentmindedly eats the custard with the ear.
• Too Cool to Live: Who else besides Father McGruder?
