• Basic Trope: Hmmm...I do believe I saw a porno featuring those characters once...
• Played Straight: Although considerably less racy than the material it's based off of, there is still quite a lot of Fan Service to be had for the viewers of Series X.

  • Series X is basically softcore porn, and/or Porn with Plot.
  • Series X has virtually no Fan Service whatsoever, whereas the original material is pornography
• Inverted: A pornographic film/game/book/comic is based off a perfectly innocuous work and/or features the same characters or character designs.

  • Hey, every great artist or writer had to start somewhere, right?
  • The artist (especially common with Comic Book and Manga artists) doesn't want to come up with new character designs, and so recycles the ones from his/her earlier "adult" works.
• Subverted: Although based off a Dating Sim, it's still perfectly acceptable for a younger audience.

They then go back to their dressing rooms...and a Dom Com completely unrelated to the porn movie is filmed at the very same table, with the very same camera, with Alice and Bob. (Bonus Points if nothing was cleaned off in between, or if by "cleaned off", they mean "wiped quickly and half-assedly with a dirty old rag."
• Lampshaded: "Hey, Alice, didn't I see you in a porno once?"
• Averted: The author never once dabbled in the creation of adult works.
