- Hey, It's That Guy!: Medúlla features the big name beatboxers Rahzel, Shlomo and Dokaka (it was essentially his big break). Mike Patton appeared on a few songs, most recognizably singing the baritone backing vocals in "Where Is The Line".
- One of Us: Homogenic, Vespertine, Medúlla, and Biophilia are all named after scientific terms and phenomena.
- What Could Have Been: Was originally approached to perform Gollum's Song for The Lord of the Rings, but declined, citing her pregnancy. Fellow icelander Emiliana Torrini performed it instead.
