Ben 10: Omniverse/YMMV

• And the Fandom Rejoiced: The fact that poor old Dee Bradley Baker won't be massively overworked like he was in Ben 10 Alien Force and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien - by which we mean the aliens will be voiced by a variety of voice actors, just like in the original series.
  • Including David Kaye as the Big Bad, yeessss.
  • For some, Derrick Wyatt doing the character designs.
    • For those same fans, many of which loved Transformers Animated, the fact that the show is sort of a reunion show for TFA as it involves Tara Strong, David Kaye, Corey Burton and Bumper Robinson as members of the core cast was an ATFR moment.
• Author's Saving Throw: This series has been said to attempt to reconcile the conflicting styles of the first Ben 10 series and the sequels. Time will tell if it succeeds.
• Broken Base: Fans who prefer the original series are waaaaay more hyped for it than fans of the sequels.
• Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch: Just like with one of the previous shows that Derrick Wyatt, the character designer, has worked on, there's a lot of complaining despite the fact it hasn't even aired yet.
• Complete Monster: Both Malware and Maltruant are the darkest and vilest villains to grace this more zany and lighthearted take on Ben 10,
• Die for Our Ship: Kai Green. That is all.
• Ensemble Darkhorse: The most popular of the new aliens seems to be Blox. He's an alien made out of LEGO bricks!
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In 2012, there was a shortlived LEGO Ben 10 line based on Alien Force. Now there's Box, an alien who's actually made of Lego bricks.
• Internet Backdraft: Kevin's new appearance in this show has garnered a lot of fan hatred.
• Magnificent Bastard: Princess Attea, Z'skayr, and Proctor Servantis all have strong tendencies towards being in this trope.
• Replacement Scrappy: Rook has been seen as this to Gwen and Kevin by some fans, though it remains to be confirmed.
  • Also Kai Green is this for the more popular and fleshed out Julie Yamamoto as Ben's Love Interest.
• Ruined FOREVER: A lot of fans of the previous sequels aren't looking forward to this series. Conversely, it seems those in the Broken Base who hated Ben 10 Alien Force or Ultimate Alien, while those who preferred the original series seem more cautiously optimistic. Fans of Teen Titans, Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated and, most of all, Transformers Animated are hyped up for Omniverse due to Derrick Wyatt doing the character designs and taking the position of story editor, and wanting to see how weird and cool he can make the aliens. Judging by the fandom reaction to Blox, it seems he's good at makin' 'em weird.
