Battle Spirits: Shonen Gekiha Dan/YMMV
- Crowning Music of Awesome: The OP theme, "Battle No Limit!" People who dislike/refuse to watch the series tend to consider it awesome. Not surprising, since it's Jam Project.
- For Brave, let's not forget the ED theme, "Netsuretsu ANSWER", performed by Clackey's seiyuu, Daisuke Ono.
- Ensemble Darkhorse: Suzuri. He was really popular among Japanese fanartists before the series even began airing, and still remains the most popular, even though he gets the least screentime of the core soldiers, and in Brave, he's hardly even seen. Also, Belga.
- Ho Yay: Most notably between Dan and Clackey or Dan and Suzuri.
- Dan and Barone in Brave. Granted, Dan is such a Magnetic Hero, particularly in Brave, that Dan/anyone subtext is hard not to notice.
- Also courtesy of Brave is Youth/Rugain.
- And there's a bit of Les Yay between Mai and Kajitsu in Gekiha Dan, and Gilfam and Lucretia in Brave.
- Moe: But not as much as the original series.
- Puppy Love: Kenzou and Plym
- They Copied It, So It Sucks: The biggest criticism any of the Battle Spirits anime series get is that they're Yu-gi-oh ripoffs. Although, the only thing they have in common is that they involve card games, which is already an entire genre of anime.
- Actually not Yu-Gi-oh!, people liken the card game to Duel Masters
- Viewer Gender Confusion: Kenzou has been thought by some to be a girl, based on his appearance.
