Back to the Beach/Trivia
- Actor Existence Failure: Not exactly literally, but this was the last film for several of the performers in it: Annette Funicello discovered her multiple sclerosis as a result of working on this movie. And Bob Denver and Alan Hale, Jr. each never made another film.
- Executive Meddling: Some of the rights-owners for the original Beach movies refused to permit their use. As a result, Frankie uses a nickname ("The Big Kahuna") which actually comes from the Gidget films, and Annette goes by her own name rather than the original "Deedee".
- Hey, It's That Guy!: The film is littered with them.
- Bobby once harassed John Cusack for two dollars.
- Bob Denver as a bartender wearing a red shirt and a white sailor's cap who doesn't like being called "Little Buddy" and once knew a genius who couldn't fix a hole in a boat. And Alan Hale, Jr. as a friend who drags him off for a three-hour cruise at the end.
- The harbormaster is Maxwell Smart!
- Shout-Out: Dozens.
- Pee-wee Herman's surfboard has handlebars with a bell and tassels.
- The punk song "I Hate You" is the same one used in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home the year before.
