Anthony Horowitz is an English novelist and television writer.

His novels include the Alex Rider series, The Power of Five series, the Diamond Brothers series, and Groosham Grange and its sequel, as well as stand-alone novels including The Devil and his Boy.

He created the popular television series Foyle's War and the rather less popular Crime Traveller, which functioned as a Genre Killer for UK Science Fiction television in the 1990s and early 2000s. Other series he has worked on include Robin of Sherwood, Poirot, Murder Most Horrid and Midsomer Murders.

He has recently been tapped by the estate of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to write a new Sherlock Holmes book, and is also scheduled to write the screenplay for the second Tintin movie.
