Anamanaguchi
Anamanaguchi is a New York based Chiptune punk band comprising Peter Berkman, James DeVito, Ary Warnaar and Luke Silas. Self described as playing "loud, fast music with a hacked NES from 1985", Anamanaguchi has seen mostly underground popularity, but has been getting more attention as of late, thanks in part to YouTube and their recent involvement with the Scott Pilgrim video game.
Discography:
- Power Supply EP (2006, free)
- Dawn Metropolis (2009)
- Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game - Original Videogame Soundtrack (2010)
- Summer 2010 singles (free, here)
- Endless Fantasy (2013)
Anamanaguchi provides examples of the following tropes:
- All Drummers Are Animals: Drummer Luke Silas tends to play live shows without a shirt on, make of that what you will.
- Nostalgia Filter: Especially for gamers, and children of The Eighties and The Nineties.
