• Ronald Sung has a physical resemblance to real-life blogger Roland Soong. The perception of his politics as being extreme compared to mainstream Taiwanese politics may be a reference to James Soong (no relation).
• Hey, It's That Voice!: Raynor, Raziel, Nathan Drake, Nevan, Jack, Azula, HK-47, etc.
  • Yancy Westridge is voiced by... Uncle Ruckus, is that you!?
• Screwed by the Network: Sega will not be publishing a sequel. While not everyone likes the game, this is the reaction for those who do.
  • However, there's also a Hope Spot in that Obsidian, not Sega, owns the rights to the game. It's just a matter of getting funding, and with Kickstarter being a viable option now...
• What Could Have Been:
  • The entire plot was rewritten when Brian Mitsoda left Obsidian and Chris Avellone took over the project. Not much is known about the original version, but judging by Syriana having been mentioned in early interviews as a major influence, it would've been quite a bit more serious.
  • Brayko's theme song was originally going to be "The Final Countdown," rather than "Turn Up the Radio."
  • The implied G22 subplot. Judging from what little can be gleaned, it would've been really really great.
  • The Scrapped first version of the game.
