After Hours (film)/YMMV

  • Crowning Moment of Funny: "I'll probably get blamed for that."
  • Cult Classic: And due to its late-night energy, it works perfectly as a midnight movie.
  • Older Than They Think: In addition to the Kafka references, a great deal of material from the first twenty minutes was taken to some degree from Joe Frank's radio monologue "Lies". Frank sued, but apparently admired the direction Joseph Minion took his ideas.
  • The Woobie: Paul. Dear God, Paul qualifies!
    • Jerkass Woobie: When someone commits suicide in front of you, you call the cops, not leave the body for someone else to find. And let's not even get into his treatment of Teri Garr's character.
      • He did call the cops, and after having a night as horrid as his, you could be forgiven for being a little snippy at somebody like Terri Garr.
