Action Girl/Animated Films
- Nine: 7 is the only girl out of the group , and makes her entrance by decapitating the Cat Beast in one swing.
- Aladdin: Princess Jasmine qualfies in the animated TV series, often taking a proactive role in many episodes as opposed to simply being a Damsel in Distress.
- Balto: Jenna is willing to fight a furious bear far larger than she is and has no qualms with standing up to Steel, something many of the male dogs in the film are too afraid to do. Sadly, she ends up fading into the background in the other two films.
- Bolt has Penny (the onscreen version, anyway), particularly in the opening. Mittens has her moments as well.
- Dragons Fire and Ice: Princess Kyra, who is an exceptional hand-to-hand fighter, is very skilled with a staff and kali sticks, and can wield friggin' fire.
- Galatea in 2-D: Penny. When The Hero struggles all out with her, she's still able to overpower him.
- How to Train Your Dragon: Astrid and Ruffnut are both dragon-slayers in training but end up as Dragon Riders instead after Hiccup proves that dragons can be befriended and tamed. They both assist in storming the Red Death's nest at the film's climax.
- The Incredibles: Elastigirl is of the Action Mom variety, as is Violet who is a Barrier Warrior.
- The Lion King: Nala is a very strong fighter, and a fierce hunter. Let's not forget "Pinned ya." and "VITANI!".
- Monsters vs. Aliens: Susan, a.k.a. Ginormica, eventually becomes one of these after starting out as a Reluctant Monster.
- Mulan: We have the titular Mulan who starts off as a civilian woman, but ends up going off to war and disguising herself as a man in her crippled father's stead. While she spends most of the movie pretending to be a man as she helps in the war against Shan-Yu and the Hun army, she ends up killing Shan Yu and ends up saving the Emperor of China's life after her true gender-identity is revealed, winning her the respect of the Emperor, her commander Shang, and by extension all of China.
- Rio: Jewel, right up until the time Nigel injures her wing.
- Shrek: Princess Fiona has a Badass Action Girl moment in the first movie, but kind of stays behind in the second and third movies. Now in Forever After, the fourth movie, holy crap...
- Tangled: Rapunzel. For a Walt Disney Pictures Fairy Tale adaptation of a Princess tale, she may be bubbly, but she is the toughest human female character since Mulan.
- Toy Story: Jessie. Barbie turns out to be a bit of one too in the 3rd movie.
- WALL-E: EVE, with built-in nuclear cannon.
- Wreck-It Ralph: Sergeant Calhoun is a badass Space Marine commander from the game Hero's Duty who goes after a highly dangerous Cy-Bug that ends up in another game known as Sugar Rush and is more than capable of going toe-to-toe with swarms of them.
