"O" (theatre)/YMMV
- Ensemble Darkhorse: The Zebras who perform the cadre (aerial frame) act are associated with this show the way the Red Bird is with Mystere, in part because two of them (a male-female pair) are recurring minor characters.
- Hype Backlash: Huge reputation that goes beyond Las Vegas + extremely expensive tickets ($93.50 to $150 before taxes and fees) = this trope for some viewers.
- Recycled Premise: After director/writer Franco Dragone moved on from Cirque and casino mogul Steve Wynn's stake in the Bellagio was bought out, Wynn hired Dragone to create a show for his new Vegas casino (Wynn Las Vegas). 2005's Le Reve -- A Small Collection of Imperfect Dreams turned out to be the saga of an Everyman led through a watery world of dreams, performed in a theater-in-the-round where the stage could switch between a deep pool and a conventional space at a moment's notice. Critics found it an underwhelming, needlessly grim retread of this show; it has since been heavily retooled. In the process critical opinion of the show has improved, but it is still nowhere near as popular as its spiritual predecessor.
